About PTD
Pro Tech Distributors supplies professional video hardware to retailers, resellers and system integrators across South Africa.
PTD distributes E-Image, Lilliput, Kato, AV Matrix and Farseeing in South Africa. We hold local stock of the core lines so dealers and integrators aren't waiting on international freight for every order, and we bring in project and special-order items when a job calls for them.
We work directly with each brand's factory teams, so questions about warranty, firmware or spec compatibility get real answers, backed by genuine product and manufacturer support.
We sell through the reseller channel and never direct to end users. If an end user contacts us, we point them to a dealer. That keeps our dealers' margins and customer relationships intact.
Our customers fall into two groups with different needs. Retailers and resellers stock prosumer video gear for shelf and online sale: tripods, monitors, lighting, batteries and PTZ cameras at retail-ready price points. System integrators specify project hardware for fitted installs: studio pedestals, rack monitors, control systems and signal infrastructure, quoted per project.
PTD operates from Johannesburg and Cape Town and supplies dealers nationwide. Through our logistics partners we also deliver to resellers elsewhere in Africa.
Our Johannesburg office is at Block F, Oak Avenue Office Park, 372 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, 2194. We're open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed on weekends and public holidays.
